Village idiocy
My wife and I just braved the bad reviews (there was, um, a forest full of them) and watched M. Night Shyamalan's The Village. (I think it's required that you say "M. Night Shyamalan's" before the title.)
At the end I made a crack about William Hurt's character ("I'm an American historian at the University of Pennsylvania, and I have this idea ..."). But then my wife asked, pointedly, whether I was making fun of an idealistic historian with utopian visions. I didn't really have a good comeback to that.
