Baltimore perk
One of the many nice things about being a historian in Baltimore is getting to spend an afternoon working in this library:

That is one beautiful picture. It really made this ex-librarian's heart go pitter-pat. And this acrophobe's, too (though for different reasons...)
The good news for acrophobes is that the stacks are closed: only the librarians have to scale those heights to retrieve your books.
This is an exceptionally beautiful library. I would love to examine its collection. Any idea how many texts it holds?
