Comments fixed

Ralph Luker informs me that my comment system has not been working. Sure enough, Ebenezer Orthodoxy had released a new version of his comment hack for blogger, which I had not installed. Apparently the old version no longer worked now that Blogger has updated its comment system. Thanks for pointing out the problem, Ralph.

I presume that this means comments have been broken for about a week, so I'm sure you're dying to let loose all of the comments you've been saving up since then.

Collective Improvisation:
Does this work, now?

Yes, Caleb, it does, but now commenters will be sent to the new Blogger page that includes a window for the Blogger comment system. Will this confuse them?

Possibly they will be confused, but if so, they can still use the Blogger comment system and it should work, like I'm doing now. Let's see ...

Perfecto! But if the Blogger system works well, why stick with the hack?

Because the hack still allows commenters who are not registered Blogger users to enter their email address and URL easily, and without being listed as Anonymous.

O.K. You've convinced me. Caleb McDaniel has some of his most interesting conversations with himself.

Yes, but they're usually not this amicable.
